Terms of use. Version 2026-10-22. Using Site Analyst means accepting
them, and an account records the version in force when it was made.
Open data only
what it reads
Every drawing is made by code from data that government agencies and
open projects publish for anyone to use — the NSW planning, cadastre, elevation and
imagery services, the ABS, OpenStreetMap, Overture Maps and the others listed on each
drawing and on How it works. Nothing is surveyed, visited or
checked by a person.
as it stands
A drawing shows that data as it stood when the drawing was made. Each
drawing names its sources and the date it read them.
No guarantee
complete
Open data has gaps, and Site Analyst does not guarantee that any of it is
complete. Buildings, trees, footpaths, parking, services and other features can be
missing from it. Something the drawing does not show may still be there.
correct and current
Site Analyst does not guarantee that the data, or what the drawing works
out from it (areas, levels, heights, distances, walking times, shadows, yields), is
accurate or up to date. Where a drawing estimates something, it says so.
not a substitute
A drawing is not a planning certificate (s10.7), a registered survey, a
Before You Dig enquiry, a title search, or a heritage, flood, geotechnical,
contamination or acoustic report, and it is not legal, planning or other professional
advice. Confirm what matters against those sources before relying on it or lodging
anything for approval.
Paying
what is bought
Unlocking an address or subscribing buys the drawings as they are made
from the data available at the time, without the watermark, and with the CAD and data
files. Every drawing can be generated and read in full before paying.
missing data
Gaps or errors in the open data are not a fault in the drawing, and are
not grounds for a refund on their own.
your rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or
remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
limit
Site Analyst's drawings are not services of a kind ordinarily acquired
for personal, domestic or household use. So where a consumer guarantee under the
Australian Consumer Law is not met, Site Analyst's liability is limited, as section 64A
of that law allows and at Site Analyst's choice, to supplying the drawing again or
paying the cost of having it supplied again. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows,
Site Analyst is not liable for loss that comes from relying on a drawing without the
checks above.
Using the drawings
licences
The data stays under its publishers' licences, which each drawing
states. Keep those attributions when you reuse a drawing or its files.
your account
Use an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password to
yourself.
changes
When these terms change, the version date above changes with them, and
the new terms apply to drawings made after it.
